FAQs
Q: 1 – Does FSI provide any job on a fixed salary?
Ans: FSI does not offer fixed-salary employment positions like Government Forensic Science Laboratories (FSLs). Instead, we encourage individuals to collaborate with us on a commission or percentage (%) based model after obtaining membership with FSI.
FSI actively promotes the profiles of Certified Forensic Experts (CFEs) through our official website, Google Ads campaigns, and social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as within the legal fraternity. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the visibility, credibility, and case flow of CFEs over time.
Q: 2 – How can one earn after joining FSI?
Ans: A Certified Forensic Expert (CFE) can earn with FSI in the following ways:
A. By Signing Reports as a Certified Forensic Expert (CFE)
Upon obtaining membership (Professional or Lifetime), members are authorized to sign reports on FSI letterhead as Certified Forensic Experts (CFEs). Members will have opportunities to work on cases related to handwriting verification, fingerprint examination, audio-video authentication, voice identification, image analysis, and other forensic divisions.
Additionally, members will gain access to various promotional platforms and lead-generation support, thereby expanding their professional network and enhancing their career prospects in the field of forensic science.
B. By Working as a Training Coordinator
After becoming a member of FSI, CFEs are not only equipped with specialized forensic knowledge and practical skills, but may also work as Training Coordinators. In this role, they can provide training and guidance to new students and aspiring forensic professionals associated with FSI.
This dual opportunity enables members to build careers both as Certified Forensic Experts and as forensic trainers, thereby diversifying their professional opportunities while contributing to the education and development of future forensic professionals.
Q: 3 – In which forensic divisions can a Certified Forensic Expert (CFE) work with FSI?
Ans: Certified Forensic Experts (CFEs) can work in various forensic divisions, including:
• Handwriting & Signature Verification
• Fingerprint Examination
• Voice Identification & Speaker Analysis
• Audio-Video Authentication
• Image & Photo Analysis
• Digital & Multimedia Examination
• Other allied forensic disciplines
Q: 4 – Will FSI assist by allocating cases within our respective regions?
Ans: Yes. FSI will assist you in establishing and promoting your forensic practice within your respective region. This support includes:
Social Media Promotion
Assistance will be provided in promoting your services on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Members are also encouraged to actively showcase their professional activities, including court visits and case-related updates, through their personal social media handles to build credibility and visibility.
Regional Mobile Database Support
A verified mobile-number database specific to your region may be provided to help conduct localized SMS and WhatsApp marketing campaigns targeting potential clients.
Google Ads Support
Guidance will be provided for setting up Google Ads campaigns tailored to your region and forensic services so that your profile gains better visibility when individuals search for forensic experts in your area.
Benefit of Company Experience & Networking
Members will receive the benefit of FSI’s established experience, branding, networking, and professional exposure, which can help in building trust among clients and legal professionals.
Note: Personal effort and professional dedication will play a crucial role in long-term success. Members are expected to engage in local outreach, attend court proceedings, interact with advocates and clients, and actively promote their forensic activities. FSI will provide support, tools, and guidance; however, consistent self-driven effort will remain essential.
Q: 5 – What kind of support does FSI provide?
Ans: FSI provides procedural guidance, report formats, affidavit templates, mentorship, and practical assistance to help members confidently handle court-related forensic work and professional responsibilities.
