📣 About the Empanelment:

Forensic Services India (FSI) is inviting qualified and skilled Forensic Science professionals from all across India to join its panel as Certified Forensic Experts (CFE). This is a case-to-case referral-based collaboration, not a fixed or salaried job. Experts will be assigned Forensic Cases from their respective regions as and when such cases arise through FSI. This is not a regular job. It is a panel-based empanelment system, where qualified experts receive forensic case referrals under the FSI banner, work independently, and sign reports professionally.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

🎓 Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc. (Hons) or M.Sc. in Forensic Science (from a recognized university)

🛠️ Core Expertise Required:

✍️ Handwriting & Signature Verification (including professional report drafting)

🎧 Audio-Video Authentication

🗣️ Speaker Identification

⚖️ Sound knowledge of legal procedures, court proceedings, and cross-examination techniques

📌 Experience Requirement for Signing Authority:

• Minimum 10-15 completed Forensic Case Examinations

• Proven experience in legal proceedings and court testimony (cross-examination readiness)

Becoming a Signing Authority under Forensic Services India (FSI) is not just a designation—it is a position of legal responsibility and expert credibility. To be recognized as an authorized signing expert under the FSI panel, a candidate must have successfully completed at least 10-15 Forensic Case examinations and must possess practical experience in legal proceedings, including the ability to handle cross-examination in court.

Only those who meet this benchmark of experience and legal preparedness will be granted the authority to sign forensic reports issued under FSI, especially when the case is referred by court, police, or any government agency.

📌 Important Note:
If a candidate has only a basic qualification (B.Sc./M.Sc. in Forensic Science) and does not score satisfactorily in the Online CFE Entrance Test, then they will not be eligible for signing authority. Instead, they will be required to undergo the FSI Professional Training Program to build the necessary expertise and readiness before being allowed to handle and sign actual casework.

This policy ensures that every report signed under FSI meets the highest legal and professional standards and can withstand scrutiny during cross-examination and judicial proceedings.

📂 Experience Verification Documents (Mandatory for Signing Authority) 

If candidates already have experience of 10-15 or more forensic case examinations, they must upload documentary proof of their casework and courtroom exposure at the time of application. The following documents will be considered valid for experience verification:

✅ Scanned copies of 2–3 Court Summons where the candidate’s name appears as an Expert Witness.
✅ Copies of Court Order Sheets in which the candidate is officially mentioned for expert examination.
✅ Scanned copy of any Cross-Examination/Deposition Statement recorded before a judicial authority.

These documents are essential to validate the claim of experience and to qualify for approval as a Certified Signing Authority under the FSI panel. Applications without verifiable experience will be redirected to the Online CFE Test and Training Pathway.
