Q: 1- Does FSI provides any Job on fixed Salary?
Ans: FSI does not offer fixed-salary employment positions as seen in Government Forensic Science Laboratories (FSL). Instead, we encourage individuals to collaborate with us on a commission or percentage (%) based model after successfully completing their certification as a Certified Forensic Expert (CFE) at FSI. The earnings are subject to the volume of forensic casework received each month.
FSI actively promotes the profiles of Certified Forensic Experts (CFEs) through our official website, Google AdWords campaigns, social media platforms such as Instagram & Facebook as well as within the legal fraternity. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the visibility and case flow for CFEs over time.
Q: 2 How to earn after joining FSI?
Ans: Certified Forensic Expert (CFE) can earn with FSI in 2 ways:-
A- By signing report as a Certified Forensic Expert (CFE)- After completing approximately 3-5 months of training, individuals can achieve the status of Certified Forensic Expert (CFE) at the Forensic Services-India (FSI). Upon certification, they receive an authorization letter from the Head Office, empowering them to establish a branch office in their respective state. This certification also grants them the authority to sign reports on FSI letterhead, enhancing their professional credibility. As certified experts, they will have opportunities to earn income by solving cases related to handwriting and fingerprint verification, among other forensic divisions. Additionally, they will gain access to various platforms that provide leads for potential cases, thereby expanding their professional network and enhancing their career prospects in forensic science
B- By Imparting training as a Training Coordinator- Those who achieve certification as CFEs are not only equipped with specialized knowledge and skills in forensic science but also gain the ability to serve as Training Coordinators. This dual role allows them to impart their expertise and training to new students interested in joining the FSI.
